I’ve been doing my bit to spread Christmas joy to the world through the medium of song over on Blip.fm

But that’s not nearly as festive as Eugene Fields, The Mouse and the Moonbeam, which was discovered late last night in the company of friends, one of which decided to keep throwing random books at me in attempt to destroy my soul. I decided that the story deserved to be brought to as many as possible and forgiving the plots spiral into a religious lecture at the end, I find the tale of Squeaknibble to be the second best thing I’ve read this year and I hope you can enjoy it too. Hit the jump to read on and then have a very Merry Christmas.

Lesley the Unicef sponsored woman golfer.

I’m partial to much of ‘teh interwhebs’ and have been giggling like a little girl (hardly anything new) since discovering David Thorne.

Find after the jump an exchange of e-mails between my new ‘E – <3′ and one Lester Copeland. It’s funny.

WADING IN – Games ‘permit’ virtual war crimes

•November 25, 2009 • Leave a Comment

The issue of ‘Video Game Violence’ is growing more with every big release. It’s started in some pretty bizarre places, from the mind controlling allegations of the late eighties, to the Manhunt media sensation of a few years ago. Not wanting to get tied up with the hypocrisy of the media, nor wade in to the ongoing debate of ‘Age Classification’ (Two words: Bad Parenting), I’m keen to explore just what the media is now trying to do by linking in the video game with the claim we’re all closet Husain’s.

Review- TV: Encounter at Farpoint

What better way to begin with the good-time-geekiness, than back where it all began…or at least in that general timeframe.

I can’t remember just how many times I’ve seen the pilot episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. It’s possible I actually saw it when it first aired on British television, though I can remember quite vividly sitting and watching it on VHS following the release of a ‘Captains Beginning’s Box set’ shortly after Voyager made its debut.

That’s easily over a decade ago and despite my obsession with the show, I still find myself sitting there, staring at Riker and thinking…

“Dude, you forgot to put your beard on” Continue reading ‘Review- TV: Encounter at Farpoint’
